Hull and Machinery Claims: Risks of Aging Fleets
This course is designed to educate claims professionals on the increased risks associated with aging maritime vessels. The course will educate attendees on risks associated with vessel age including those which impact stability, hull structure, weathertight and watertight integrity, machinery, and deck equipment. Current marine industry practices to manage the risks associated with vessels aging will be introduced along with a discussion on their effectiveness. The course will also provide a look forward at technology, engineering, and practical measures that may provide further mitigation of the inevitable risk of vessels aging. To conclude, case studies will provide real-life examples of the subject matter.
